Louie Robinson
Acupuncturist and Massage Therapist
Louie (they/them) is a fully licensed acupuncturist, Level 5 massage therapist and facialist who has been practicing in East London for the past five years.
Before retraining as an acupuncturist, Louie worked in the fast-paced world of fashion, working long hours and with constant travel. They developed various autoimmune diseases as a result of stress, and in working with an acupuncturist finally learnt what it meant to slow down and connect with who they truly are.
As an acupuncturist they draw from many modalities including Five Elements, TCM, Stems & Branches and Six Divisions. Currently their treatment approach looks at the complete channel system, exploring ways these different subsidiary channels hold latency in times of survival and the ways this can manifest as pain and disease.
By finding the right approach to support the root of these chronic imbalances, your sessions together will be focused on relieving symptoms while addressing and bringing softness to the root of your pain, giving you the tools to move beyond survival, to reset and support yourself.
As a massage therapist Louie offers deep tissue and remedial massage. Working with your fascia and breath to invite more space and softness to the tissues, allowing you to let go of tensions.
Growing up under Section 28, Louie did not come out as queer and trans until they were an adult. This experience of hiding their true self has deepened their awareness of the toll this can take on our minds and bodies and the impact society can have on people with marginalised identities. During their acupuncture training, they championed the rights and needs of gender affirming-care towards all patients, which formed the subject of their theses. They continue to advocate for inclusivity and diversity within healthcare and wellness spaces.
When they are not at Fix or their private practice, Louie can be found recharging in nature, unfolding on the dance-floor, dreaming up workshops, connecting with community and bopping around London on their bike.
