Prenatal Pilates focuses on posture, core and breathing to allow you to become more in tune with your changing body.
A lot of women are unsure of what they can and can’t do when it comes to exercise during pregnancy, this prenatal course aims to give you the confidence to keep active while doing safe exercise for you and your baby.
Pilates can play a key role in enhancing the experience of this precious time. You will learn techniques to assist you in keeping your body strong and mind calm in preparation for labour and beyond. And it’s a great way to connect with other parents who are going through similar experiences!
Classes are tailored with pregnancy-safe exercises specifically chosen to prepare your body for the physical challenges of each trimester. We’ll work to promote good posture to minimise back pain, maintain pelvic floor function, manage any pelvic discomfort, maintain muscle strength, release tightness and promote relaxation through breathing.
The course is for mums-to-be at any stage of pregnancy, as long as you have consent from your GP or Midwife. No prior Pilates experience required: just a desire for a sense of wellbeing.
