Named after creator, Joseph Pilates, this system of low-impact resistance training is designed to improve strength, flexibility, agility, muscular endurance and posture. On the mat, your body weight provides resistance against gravity instead of equipment.

Mat work is a great option for Pilates beginners and more advanced students because of its emphasis on learning how to control your muscles during exercises. The instructor will offer modifications for different levels or injury.

Marietta started her Pilates journey in 2016 to remedy her chronic back pain. Realising that Pilates was the key to living her best life, she trained and qualified as a Stott Pilates Instructor. She loves empowering clients to build their strength and feel physically strong and confident. Clients appreciate her calming presence as well as the encouragement and fun she brings to classes. She is local to Stratford and lives with her partner and cats.

New to Pilates? Or back after a long hiatus? Then this class is for you.

This beginner's class is running for 4 weeks, starting on the 18th of January.  In this class, your teacher is dedicated to taking you through the fundamentals of Pilates and basic exercises giving you the confidence and knowledge to progress into our All Levels group sessions.

You'll learn techniques to correct your posture, how to use the Pilates breath and why it's beneficial, you'll strengthen your core and alleviate back pain all while becoming more aware of your body. You'll even leave in a better mood! Running on the 18/01, 25/01, 01/02 and 08/02

The Pilates intro Pack cannot be used to pay for this class.

Our classes offer a safe and effective way to recover from pregnancy and childbirth – helping you regain your abdominal strength and realign your posture.

These classes provide mental and physical benefits that allow new mums to cope better with the demands of motherhood. Not only do they help your body adapt to the postural demands of caring for a newborn, they also help to manage stress at a time of significant change.

We follow the official recommendation for recommencing Pilates; a minimum of 6 weeks for a natural birth and 8 – 12 weeks post caesarean. You will need to be cleared by your GP to attend this class.

Floor Barre is a full body toning and conditioning class borrowing techniques from ballet and pilates. This workout is low impact, with movements to music and low or no weights on a mat. You will be gradually working towards burning out muscles and leaving you feeling strong, aligned and toned. Also suitable for pre/post natal.

Josh is a trained dancer with experience in the west end, Paris and New York, outside of teaching he loves performing and exploring the world.
