Acupuncture FAQs
Does acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture does not hurt, although on some points there may be a sensation. When the needles connect with the body there may also be a heavy sensation, itchiness or some heat around the point – this will pass.
How many sessions will I need?
The amount of sessions depends on the symptoms being treated. But it is good to factor in a minimum of 4 to 6 sessions. If the symptoms are chronic then a longer time period will be needed.
Can acupuncture be combined with other treatments?
Yes you can have other treatments while having acupuncture, but we would recommend only 1 more as too many different interventions could disrupt treatment outcomes
