Alice Barford

Alice completed her bachelors degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Liverpool back in 2012, and since then has mainly been working in the world of musculoskeletal and sports physio. On graduating, Alice followed her passion for snow sports and moved to the French Alps to work as a ski physio and sports massage therapist before returning to the UK and moving to London.

Alice has a special interest in acute back+neck and sport injuries, as well as having much experience in post-operative rehabilitation; getting people back to, and beyond, their previous fitness levels and re-educating movement patterns to reduce risk of re-injury and putting in place longer term plans to aid in injury prevention. Alice has wide ranging experience, having worked alongside all kinds of patients over the last 9 years; from sporting and dance professionals, pre/post-natal patients, post-operative patients, work related and occupational injuries, and those with more longstanding conditions (ie scoliosis and hypermobility).

Her continuing professional development and further education has lead Alice to train in Acupuncture and Dry Needling and Clinical Matwork Pilates. In addition to this she has completed courses in Strength and Conditioning Principles in Physiotherapy, Manual and Manipulative Therapy, and Chronic Pain Management, alongside many others. She is keen to further her knowledge in the realm of Women’s/Pelvic Health, and plans to undertake additional training into this specialism in the near future.

Alice’s treatment and rehab plans are formulated around each individual patients condition and needs, with the patient at the heart of their own care. She uses a mixture of treatment modalities in her practice, including joint and soft tissue manual and manipulative therapy, dry needling and acupuncture, movement and neuromuscular re-education, neural mobilisation, and a range of exercise based approaches including Pilates and core rehab and strength & conditioning training.
