Alice Barford
Physiotherapist | Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
Alice graduated with a BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Liverpool in 2012 and has since developed extensive expertise in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy. Early in her career, she worked as a ski physiotherapist in the Alps before returning to the UK to continue her clinical practice. She has undertaken further training in a range of areas, including: clinical pilates, strength & conditioning, manual therapy, persistent pain management and pelvic health conditions (through the POGP).
Alice has extensive experience supporting a diverse range of patients, including athletes, pre- and post-natal individuals, post-operative patients, and those managing long-term conditions such as scoliosis and hypermobility. She treats a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions and also supports patients with pelvic health concerns, including pelvic girdle pain and bladder dysfunction, both pregnancy-related and otherwise.
Alice uses detailed assessment and personalised treatment plans to restore optimal movement, improve function and build long-term resilience. Her treatment approach is highly personalised, combining hands-on therapy, movement rehabilitation and re-education, and exercise-based interventions.
Passionate about empowering patients to take an active role in their health, she emphasises education, self-management and sustainable exercise habits, working collaboratively to develop realistic and practical long-term strategies that support ongoing health, wellbeing and confidence in movement; helping patients achieve their goals in a way that aligns with their lifestyle.
Outside of the clinic, Alice enjoys strength training, calisthenics and yoga, and draws on these disciplines to inform her rehabilitation programmes where appropriate, with a strong focus on optimising movement patterns and functional strength.
