Acupuncturist, Fertility Acupuncture, IVF Support & Reflexology

Originally Vera trained in the Arts graduating from Camberwell College of Arts with an Arts History degree. After a stint working at Longmans Publishers, she worked for the Iconography Department of the Wellcome Trust Medical Historical Library as a Picture Researcher/Cataloguer. Surrounded by Medical Historians and their research projects, Vera met the eminent Professor Ma, a Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor who encouraged her to study Acupuncture.

After initially qualifying for an ITEC Diploma in Massage and Reflexology in 1995, Vera decided to take the plunge into a complete career change and study Acupuncture gaining a degree in TCM Acupuncture from the University of Westminster in 2005.

Since graduation she has undertaken further postgraduate courses in Fertility and Pregnancy with Zita West, 2006, Jani White 2014, Sarah Pritchard 2020 and Paediatric Acupuncture in 2007 with June Tranmer and Ann Bradford.

She is also part of Anxiety UK charity’s network of practitioners.

Recently in 2021, Vera completed a Supervision and Mentoring Course and is a qualified supervisor.

Vera uses a combination of therapies to treat a wide variety of ailments, both from emotional to physical conditions and has gained a huge amount of experience over the years. Through working with Jani White clinics, Vera has gained a wealth of knowledge in treating fertility issues (both male and female), pregnancy and paediatrics.

Vera feels privileged to help fertility clients on their journey in creating babies and carry on treatment through pregnancy, birth and beyond either through natural or assisted reproductive means by preparing the body. She has gained knowledge of various IVF protocols and understanding of each stage of treatment to help guide and support throughout the whole process.

She is also experienced with more general conditions, including musculoskeletal, gynaecology and gastrointestinal issues. The recent Supervision and Mentoring training has enhanced Vera’s understanding in treating stress and anxiety especially through the recent pandemic.

Due to the vast range of presenting conditions she has treated since 2005, Vera has always felt each individual is a learning curve and has enjoyed helping lots of her clients on their paths to well being.

Vera is a member of the British Acupuncture Council, Acupuncture Fertility Network.
