Abdul Patel

Abdul Patel is an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist and independent prescriber with a specialist interest in diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided injection therapy. He qualified in 2008 and has worked across a range of clinical settings, including neuro-rehabilitation, respiratory medicine, and orthopaedic care, before focusing on complex musculoskeletal conditions.

Abdul previously held a senior NHS role in Central London, where he collaborated closely with GPs, rheumatologists, orthopaedic surgeons, and pain consultants to manage patients with persistent or multifactorial presentations. Alongside his work at FIX, Abdul now serves as the Clinical Lead for the Ultrasound-Guided Injection Clinic within Barts NHS Radiology, where he continues to contribute to diagnostic imaging and advanced musculoskeletal care.

His clinical approach combines advanced ultrasound imaging with evidence-based rehabilitation and injection therapy, offering patients a streamlined, one-stop solution for joint, tendon, and soft tissue conditions. As an independent prescriber, he is able to tailor treatment plans that include corticosteroid injections when appropriate, ensuring timely and targeted care.

Outside of clinic, Abdul is a keen footballer and gym enthusiast, which gives him a personal understanding of the frustration that comes with injury and recovery. His goal is to help patients regain confidence in movement, reduce pain, and return to the activities they value most with clarity, compassion, and clinical precision.”
